See this? This is Soul Perception. Seven has it. There's a description on the wiki, here.

Please please please fill out this permissions post re: Soul Perception and you! If there are any questions, ask me and I'll tl;dr at you.

Note: For examples of souls, see Stein's soul, Justin's soul, Maka's soul. Note that souls look more like this most of the time, and the examples in the previous sentence are souls that are powered-up in preparation for battle/a threat display.

Seven will not be able to remember exactly what different features of a soul mean, and will have to regain this knowledge through trial and error. For example, he will realize that two very stubborn people have similar traits, but will not be able to recognize that he is sensing their stubbornness until he figures it out on his own. It's like being able to see letters and having to teach yourself how to read.

Edit:
Even if your character is considered a witch by their canon's standards, Soul Eater witches are fairly unusual. If your character is a witch and because of their magical abilities has a personality that is strongly chaotic or enjoys causing/is driven to cause destruction and chaos, please mention that. That is the only sort of innate magical ability that Seven will be able to pick up on.

1. Do they have a soul? Most likely. Saiyuki deals with reincarnation, so it's probably a very old soul.
2. A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Seven would be able to tell from looking at their soul. A mess. Jeep would be really difficult to read due to his complex personality, but some things might shine through, such as hiding most of himself behind smiles and laughs, as well as a 'motherly' trait. There would probably be a tinge of instability, too.
3. If you have some defining physical traits, those may appear as well. Go ahead and mention a general feel for what the soul is like as well, and mention anything else you think would be apparent. Split. One side human, one side vine demon. Probably would smell like greenery and blood. Colors would be green and gold.
4. Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar? Witches are magic-users who inherited their abilities genetically. He's a youkai and has genetically inherited powers, but not in the witch-sense.
5. Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin egg? This is only if your character eats souls. N/A

1. Do they have a soul? Yes, most likely. I think so.
2. A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Seven would be able to tell from looking at their soul. His personality can be rather harsh and to the point. He's one to tease or make jokes if the time is right but even so he is very blunt and to the point. He dispises most people in Edensphere merely due to the hyprocritcy and unnecessary actions. There is very little he trusts. He isn't shy to teach someone a very harsh lesson if needed. On the outside he often masks his feelings with a rather bright smile.
3. If you have some defining physical traits, those may appear as well. Go ahead and mention a general feel for what the soul is like as well, and mention anything else you think would be apparent. Black's aura is often considered to be thick and overwhelming. In the manga it was like a thick blanket that suffocated anything around it with poisoned words and darkness. It surrounds him so I would imagine his soul would be dark and probably hidden in a sense around his aura as it doesn't give much detail otherwise.
4. Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar? Witches are magic-users who inherited their abilities genetically. Black is a demon.
5. Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin egg? This is only if your character eats souls. Black eats souls though he has only recently figured it out through a memory. He has yet to eat a soul in Edensphere.

1. Do they have a soul? Yep.
2. A short, general description of their overall personality: Friendly, kind, protective, um... basically filled with idealism and hope and all that. Particularly hope.
3. If you have some defining physical traits, those may appear as well. Go ahead and mention a general feel for what the soul is like as well, and mention anything else you think would be apparent. Her physical strength and most of her abilities were magic-ishly granted to her by her grandfather. Earthy, planty things like the smell of soil, grass and flowers. Her soul would probably appear in earthy tones as well, since she's the embodiment of earth/hope in the game.
4. Does you character qualify as a witch or something similar? Witches are magic-users who inherited their abilities genetically. It's not clear who can and can't use magic in FFV, but let's say yes.
5. Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin egg? This is only if your character eats souls. Decidedly not. XD

1. Do they have a soul? Yes.
2. A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Seven would be able to tell from looking at their soul. Duality. Part of her still is the uncaring violent crazy, but more so she is friendly, curious, with a strong sense for what beauty should be and acceptance.
3. If you have some defining physical traits, those may appear as well. Go ahead and mention a general feel for what the soul is like as well, and mention anything else you think would be apparent. Blood red and gray. Has a slight artificial edge to it, and it's not young. Strong, but gives off the sense that if you push it in the right way it will shatter.
4. Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin egg? This is only if your character eats souls. I doubt it, but I'm not sure how reaping translates to the Soul Eater world.

Nope, that's for demons in Kuro-verse, so no egg /o/

1. Do they have a soul? Yes. Souls are real in Mushishi.
2. A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Seven would be able to tell from looking at their soul. Uh... he's pretty laid back, very calm and collected most of the time, with a deep respect for life, and a desire to protect it. At any cost, even his own life. At the same time, he's not about to kill anyone who's hurting someone else, just try to stop them through peaceful means. And if he gets killed while he's doing that... ah, too bad.

It doesn't matter if the person he's risking his life for is a stranger. They're still a living being.
3. If you have some defining physical traits, those may appear as well. Go ahead and mention a general feel for what the soul is like as well, and mention anything else you think would be apparent. Ginko canonically is forced to wander, something that he grew to accept; it was either accept his path willingly or resent it and the mushi he is 'cursed' to draw to him. As a result, I imagine his soul is a deep, soothing green shot through with streaks of brown, almost like it absorbed the colors of the forests Ginko is always traveling through. It probably smells like spring greenery just breaking through the soil, that rich, vibrant smell of living things. It probably feels deeply peaceful, and perhaps warm and a little protective. It would sound like something soothing as well... perhaps the wind through the leaves of a forest, or through the grass of a field, or maybe the sound of the sea. Taste? Like dirt, or leaves, or something else natural.
4. Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin egg? This is only if your character eats souls. N/A

1. Do they have a soul? I guess so. The 'verse doesn't spell it out, but their version of time travel might suggest it.
2. A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Seven would be able to tell from looking at their soul.
A little tart, a little prickly, teasing, nicknaming, creative, a bit distant, but still basically good and even friendly.
3. If you have some defining physical traits, those may appear as well. Go ahead and mention a general feel for what the soul is like as well, and mention anything else you think would be apparent.
She's a human girl - small, black, thirteen - possessing the body of a Quetzalcoatlus. The mind or soul or whatever of her host is still there, just... sort of sleeping.

Fish and the horrible gagging odor of a Magnum sharpie marker. Falling. Something sour.

1. Do they have a soul? I guess so. The Star Wars concept doesn't quite seem to be an immortal, unchanging element to a person. Not usually, anyway.
2. A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Seven would be able to tell from looking at their soul. Gentle, humane, self-sacrificing, open to emotions, in control of his emotions, slightly detached, compassionate, forgiving, protective, religiously devout, determined... Goldheart.
3. If you have some defining physical traits, those may appear as well. Go ahead and mention a general feel for what the soul is like as well, and mention anything else you think would be apparent. By general feel I mean sort of what color, scent, feeling, sound, taste, etc. reminds you of the character.

His right hand is a prosthetic.

Also, he was long dead before being incarnated for Edensphere. Given how spirits and the Force work, he's spread mostly evenly throughout his body, with a concentration in his head, though there is also some diffused part of it out past his body, like a permanent cloud of smoke. He has a glow to him, and seems slightly unreal - think the spirits in Star Wars, and this image (http://adamhughes.deviantart.com/art/Star-Wars-Legacy-7-91406981) specifically.

Black and white-blue, the dusty-glassy desert smell with a hint of ozone, warmth and calm, lightsaber hum and slow steady meditative breaths, hot chocolate. The good kind.

1. Do they have a soul? Yes

2. A short, general description of their overall personality; basically, what Seven would be able to tell from looking at their soul. Spring is super energetic and driven! A hard worker who typically does not let things get him down, but at the same time uses that attitude to hide his fear of never being good "enough" as a ninja or whatever else he's trying to achieve. He's also very protective of his precious people and will stand up to defend them at all costs.

3. If you have some defining physical traits, those may appear as well. Go ahead and mention a general feel for what the soul is like as well, and mention anything else you think would be apparent. Greeeeen. Youth! Energy! Forests! The sweat of hard work! (lol) His signature bowl cut, eyebrows, and sparkling smile! Spring was also severely injured once when he was a child, and that left a pretty big scar on his body and past. His arms are also constantly covered in scars and bruises, which is why they're always covered in bandages.

4. Does your character's soul qualify as a Kishin egg? This is only if your character eats souls. Nope! He's killed before but never eaten souls.
